Do not forget that by using your Debit or Credit or Prepaid card/s or even banki Wallet or banki Mobile app, you will be rewarded with Happy Points for every transaction you perform; where you can collect and redeem your Happy Points from any of our participating merchants:

Dormant Account:

It is the account on which none of the following transactions have taken place: withdrawal, deposit, transfer, payments or balance inquiry, for a whole year for current accounts and banki Wallet, and two years for saving accounts. On the other hand, automated transactions carried out by the bank are not considered to prevent dormancy.

Dormant account re-activation:

In case of dormant account with other active accounts under customer’s ID:

Other accounts under the same ID will work normally, but we advise you to visit the nearest branch or contact the customer service center to reactivate the dormant account.

In case of dormant customer:

This happens when all customer accounts have become dormant because of not doing any transactions according to the bank policy.

The customer will not be allowed to deal on the account or his cards until he/she visits the nearest branch and writes a request to reactivate the account or sign a printed bank statement.

General Rules:

  • The bank will continue to cash any drawn checks and implement any standing instructions on the dormant accounts.
  • However, this is not considered as a reactivation of the accounts. In addition, an attempt of contacting the customer will be made to notify the customer after the transaction.
  • Upon reactivating the account, the customer must proceed with one transaction (withdrawal, deposit, or transfer) on the same day in order to finalize the reactivation process.
