  • Mutual funds are investment vehicles that pool money from multiple investors to invest in a diversified portfolio of capital market instruments, including equities listed on the stock exchange, treasury bills, treasury bonds, or other securities.
  • Each investor in a mutual fund owns shares of the fund, representing a portion of the overall holdings. These shares are referred to as Investment Certificates, symbolizing the investor’s ownership in the mutual funds.
  • The primary objective of mutual funds is to provide investors with access to a diversified portfolio managed by professional fund managers, reducing risk compared to investing in individual securities.

Mutual funds come in various types, each designed to meet different investment objectives and risk profiles. The main types of mutual funds include:
  1. Equity Funds (Stock Market)
  2. Fixed Income Funds (Medium/Long term Debt Funds)
  3. Money Market Funds (Short term Debt Funds)
  4. Balanced Funds (Hybrid Funds)
  5. Precious Metals Funds (Gold/Silver Funds)

You can subscribe by signing a subscription form at any of the bank’s branches across Egypt. Subscription frequency varies depending on the fund type. Some funds offer daily subscriptions, while others provide weekly subscriptions. However, in all cases orders must be submitted before 12:00 pm on any applicable day.

Taksit Service Terms & Conditions For both Purchase & Cash

What is the Taksit Service?

Taksit is a payment service offered by Credit Agricole Egypt (CAE) that allows credit cardholders to convert eligible purchase & Cash transactions into monthly installments. The service is available for both local and international, without requiring prior agreements between CAE and merchants.

Eligible Credit Cards

All primary and supplementary Credit Agricole credit cards are eligible, including:

  • Classic
  • Gold
  • Platinum
  • Infinite

Eligible Transactions

  • Purchase & Cash transactions performed within the current month and before the end of next month
  • The merchant must claim the transaction before applying for the Taksit Service. “follow up your transactions through CAE Digital Channel”
  • Service applies to all transactions “Purchases & Cash” whether local or international.

Installment Tenors & Interest Rates

Cardholders may choose from six repayment plans:

Minimum Transaction Amount

  • Minimum total monthly amount: EGP 3,000 or equivalent in foreign currency.
  • The Minimum total monthly amount mentioned above applies for each type of transaction.

“Min. amount EGP 3K for Purchase and separate EGP 3K for Cash”

  • No maximum transaction amount, provided it does not exceed the card’s credit limit.
  • A Taksit agreement can be created for single or multiple transactions.

Monthly Installment & Payment Rules 

  • Interest is calculated on the full transaction amount and divided across the selected tenor.
  • Monthly installment is due on the card’s regular payment date.
  • Paid installments are added back to the available credit limit.
  • Overpayments do not settle future installments they become a credit balance for future use.

How to Apply

Only the primary cardholder may request the service through:

    1. banki Online / banki Mobile App
      • Log in using credentials or Face/Touch ID, then authenticate your login and submit your request via the self-service.
    2. banki Phone (19191)
      • You will receive an SMS with an authorization code.
      • Provide this code to the phone agent to confirm your request.

    General Conditions

    • Credit Agricole Egypt (CAE) reserves the right to amend terms, interest rates, and fees “These changes will only apply to new Taksit agreements only”
    • CAE may reject any Taksit request at its discretion if it does not comply with the bank’s terms & conditions.
    • In case of delay in payment for three consecutive months, the agreement will be automatically canceled. The remaining amount will be added to your outstanding balance and must be paid in the current billing cycle.”
    • An early settlement 5% fees on the remaining agreement balance will apply to the outstanding balance if the agreement is paid off before the scheduled end date or in case request to cancel the agreement.
    • Taksit request must be based on New Transactions only

        for example: In case performing purchase transaction during June 2025 with amount EGP 40K, and then performed another purchase transaction during July 2025 with EGP 10K, and you request for Taksit service with EGP 40K, the agreement will take EGP 10K related to July then EGP 30K related to June”

      • The first installment will be billed in the month following the request date.
      • No payment should take place on the same day of Taksit submission date.
      • Taskit requests are not accepted on the last day of the month.

      Service Fees

      • The Bank has the right to apply Fees apply to all Taksit applications.
