Crédit Agricole Egypt Wins Arab Digital Banking Excellence Award 2018 “Best Mobile Banking Application”
Cairo – March, 2019 – Crédit Agricole Egypt has continued on its path of excellence in the field of digital banking services in the Egyptian market and Arab region by winning the “Best Mobile Banking Application” in the Arab region in 2018 for its “Banki Mobile” Application, an award presented by the Union of Arab Banks and the Arab Information and Communication Technologies Organization.
Head of Proximity Banking at Crédit Agricole Egypt, Walie Lotfy, received the award during the first edition of the “Arab Digital Banking Excellence Award 2018” ceremony, held in the Tunisian capital, Tunis in the presence of Dr. Abdellatif Abid, Vice Secretary General of the League of Arab States, and under the supervision of Tunisia’s Central Bank Governor Mr. Marwan Al Abbasi and Tunisian Minister of Communication Technologies and Digital Economy Mr. Anwar Maarouf, as well as a wide range of diplomatic, economic and global figures in the banking and technology fields in the Arab region and across the world.
Crédit Agricole Egypt’s Managing Director, Mr. Pierre Finas, expressed his delight to receive this award, which is regarded as a certificate of excellence and distinction in the field of digital services. He added: “I would like to congratulate Crédit Agricole Egypt’s team on their relentless efforts to execute the digital development and transformation plan, in line with the Group’s strategy and its ambitious plans in the country. The continued crowning of Crédit Agricole Egypt with prestigious awards by international institutions is regarded as a certificate of success that reflects the bank’s leadership in providing banking services through its integrated digital platform, Banki by Crédit Agricole, with different banking channels for individuals and companies,” Finas added.
Crédit Agricole Egypt has recently won a number of regional and international awards as a result of the bank’s outstanding performance, especially in the digital services it provides its clients, in line with the bank’s strategy of providing the best services to its clients. Crédit Agricole Egypt won two international awards from “Global Finance” late last year; the “Best in Mobile Banking” award and the “Most Innovative Digital Bank” in Egypt for the consumer category.

Lotfy added: “Winning the “Best Mobile Banking Application is an achievement that marks the culmination of the bank’s ambitious strategic plan launched three years ago to position the bank as a leader in digital banking services in Egypt. This award also fulfils the bank’s commitment to satisfying its clients and offering a unique banking experience based on international standards, and following the Central Bank of Egypt’s directions to create a qualitative leap in banking services and achieve financial inclusion.”
