- For periods less than one week, minimum deposit of 100,000 EGP or 100,000 US$ (or equivalent in other foreign currency) is required
- For periods one month and above, minimum deposit of 1,000 EGP or 1,000 US$ (or equivalent in other foreign currency) is required
- Can be used as a collateral for a loan, OVD or credit card at preferential rates
